Who Provides These Services?

David K. Barnes

David Barnes is the former Director of SSA's Office of Disability Evaluation Policy.  At SSA, he oversaw development, implementation, and analysis of disability decisionmaking policy for both the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) disability programs. In his 27-year career, Mr. Barnes developed a reputation not only as a preeminent authority on disability policy and decisionmaking, but as a respected expert in research and development, personnel management, teambuilding, procurement, rulemaking, and litigation.
